Singapore, Singapore — July 28, 2026 — Singapore's strategic goal to triple MICE tourism receipts from $1.4 billion in 2019 to $4.5 billion by 2040 will form a key backdrop as the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) 2026 is set to open tomorrow, July 29, 2026. Organized by the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS), this annual business platform will convene industry leaders and professionals.

Forum Structure and Participation

The Singapore MICE Forum, established in 2011, consistently attracts a high density of representatives from government agencies, industry associations, MICE companies, and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). The 2026 edition, themed "Going Beyond," will challenge participants to rethink leadership, value, and impact amidst geopolitical uncertainties, economic volatility, and AI-driven disruption. Past editions, such as SMF 2025 ("What's Next?") and SMF 2023 ("The Great Reset"), have focused on innovation and resilience.

While not a traditional trade exhibition, the forum serves as a critical nexus for shaping the future of business events. SMF 2025 attracted over 1,500 attendees, featuring 28 speakers and solutions from more than 20 companies in its Marketplace. SMF 2024 saw participation from over 400 industry peers and more than 30 industry leaders as speakers. The forum typically draws between 350 to 400 representatives.

Core Thematic Tracks

The forum's agenda is structured around two core exhibit sectors. "MICE Industry Innovation & Technology" will explore the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and data-driven personalization. Discussions will cover AI-enabled diagnostics, cybersecurity, smart hospital design, and the integration of digital platforms to enhance attendee experiences. This track will also address how robotics and advanced audio-visual solutions are reshaping event formats and content delivery.

The "Sustainable MICE Practices & Talent Development" sector will focus on solutions for improving sustainability performance, including energy optimization and responsible food & beverage practices. It will also address talent development strategies, fostering agile leadership, and attracting new MICE professionals. Key topics include "heartware" leadership and design thinking for inclusive experiences.

Engagement and Co-located Events

The Singapore MICE Forum targets a broad audience, including business leaders, industry professionals, decision-makers, and procurement managers. It will offer fireside chats with prominent business leaders, dynamic plenary discussions, and curated networking sessions. Attendees will also benefit from dedicated business matching opportunities and a business marketplace. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) supports SACEOS in its mission to enhance Singapore's global MICE standing.

Concurrent high-end events will include the Singapore MICE Awards (SMA) and Gala Dinner, the Association MICE Symposium (AMS), the Singapore MICE Challenge (SMC) for emerging talent, and the Singapore MICE Development (SMD) initiative. Keynotes and panel discussions will cover critical industry topics such as AI, Sustainability, Talent, Community, Sales & Marketing, Design Thinking, Luxury, Technology, Personalisation, Sports, Entertainment, Live Events, Geopolitics, and Economic Shifts.
