Birmingham, United Kingdom — June 26, 2026 — Multimodal, the supply chain industry event, will open its doors in Hall 4 of the NEC, Birmingham, on June 30, 2026. Organized by Clarion Events, established in 1947, the event is designed to connect various nodes within the logistics and freight ecosystem, from shippers to digital solution providers.

Connecting Logistics Networks and Procurement Cycles

Multimodal is positioned as a premier event for the supply chain industry, fostering networking across every logistics sector. It will bring together businesses, thought leaders, and associations, creating a community of shippers, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, and exporters alongside their suppliers. Exhibitors will engage with new prospects and existing companies, driving business relationships and brand development across SMEs and global brands. The event aims to facilitate interaction for the logistics community with cargo owners seeking more sustainable and efficient product movement.

The target audience includes Logistics Directors, SCM Directors, and Transport Managers, alongside High Street & Online Retailers, Food Growers, and Niche Retailers. This diverse group, including procurement directors and shipping managers, will explore solutions to logistics challenges and emerging technologies.

Insight and Recognition Through Concurrent Programs

The event structure integrates several concurrent programs to provide both strategic insight and industry recognition. Conferences in 2023 featured 120 speakers across four theatres. In 2024, free-to-attend supply chain conference streams focused on themes of sustainability, resilience, technology, and people, with sessions presented by organizations such as Logistics UK, IOE&IT, RFG, BIFA, UKWA, CILT, CCF, RHA, and Google Digital Garage. Topics covered in 2022 Multimodal Seminars included freight transport, supply chain optimization, green TFL, and policies in the UK.

The Multimodal Awards, an annual event, will also be a key feature. In 2024, Kevin Keegan hosted the awards, which saw 880 guests celebrate excellence. That year introduced three new categories in the Judged Awards section, alongside six Modal awards voted for by attendees. Categories in 2024 included Air Freight Company of the Year, Road Freight Company of the Year, Shipper/Partner, Sustainability, and Technology Company. The 2022 Multimodal Awards recognized winners in categories such as Air Cargo Company of the Year, Sea Freight Company of the Year, and Rail Freight Company of the Year, among others. Networking opportunities, such as The Multimodal Mixer hosted by DP World in 2024, will also be available.
