SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE – June 19, 2026 — The Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA) is set to open its annual International Conference in Singapore on June 22, 2026. Positioned as the premier global gathering for internal audit professionals, the event will address the profession's future under the theme "Transformation," exploring emerging risks and evolving expectations across industries and regions.
The IIA, established in 1941, represents over 265,000 global members and is recognized for setting internal audit standards, certifications, and educational guidance. This year's conference will underscore the critical role of internal audit in navigating complex global challenges.
Navigating Audit's Evolving Landscape
The conference program features more than 40 sessions, case studies, and interactive discussions, structured into three distinct learning pathways. Core topics will include artificial intelligence and automation, cybersecurity and digital risk, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability assurance. Further discussions will cover leadership and audit transformation, fraud, financial crime, risk, governance, trust, ethics, and the future of work and human potential.
A Global Nexus for Professional Development
The 2026 IIA International Conference will take place at the Marina Bay Sands. It is expected to draw over 2,000 senior internal audit, risk, and governance leaders, with projections indicating attendance could exceed 2,300. Participants from more than 100 countries, potentially reaching over 150, will foster a diverse learning and networking environment.
